They push narratives that separate us by class, race, region, and even ideology, as if a fractured population is easier to control. Community and solidarity are constantly undermined, while “us versus them” becomes the default mode of existence. It feels like every policy, every headline, is designed to remind us we’re on opposite sides, instead of finding common ground.
